Tattoo Aftercare

Day 1-3

During the initial days, it’s crucial to leave your tattoo undisturbed under the protective film it was covered with. Avoid any temptation to touch or peek beneath it. If you experience any redness or itchiness, it’s essential to remove the film immediately. It’s normal for plasma, blood, or ink to gather underneath the second skin, so don’t be alarmed.

Day 3+

After three days, it’s safe to gently peel off the second skin and begin cleansing your tattoo. Use a mild, fragrance-free soap to wash the area, making sure to rinse thoroughly with warm water. Pat the tattoo dry with a clean towel, avoiding any rubbing or irritation. Repeat this cleansing process twice daily, followed by a thin layer of ointment such as Bepanthen to keep the tattoo moisturized.

Throughout the healing process, it’s crucial to only touch your fresh tattoo with clean, washed hands to prevent any risk of infection. Be patient and consistent with your aftercare routine until all scabbing has disappeared, ensuring the best possible healing outcome for your tattoo.
